Sociedad y política Manda un SMS al espacio
Científicos australianos están recopilando mensajes cortos tipo sms para enviarlos al espacio exterior, concretamente a Gliese 581d, un planeta extrasolar relativamente próximo a la Tierra que los expertos consideran con muchas posibilidades de albergar vida. Eso sí, no esperen que las misivas lleguen inmediatamente a su destino. Los sms tardarán aproximadamente 20 años en recorrer la distancia que nos separa de este exoplaneta, viajando a la velocidad de la luz.

Si quieres formar parte de esta iniciativa sólo tienes que registrarte en la web www.hellofromearth.net y mandar un mensaje que no supere los 160 caracteres antes del 24 de agosto. También podrás leer el resto de mensajes que viajarán a Gliese 581d.

Aquí algunos ejemplos:

“Si conocéis la dirección de un señor llamado Dios, mandádnosla. ¡Necesitamos ayuda aquí!"
“Está usted cordialmente invitado a una barbacoa interplanetaria a las 6.00pm del 4 de octubre de 2452 en mi casa. Carne y cerveza. Se ruega confirmación. Feliz 2100" (Daniel Edmonds, Melbourne).
