I searched in the Cambridge dictionary and I think that the best way for saying that is 'tread in shit', but it's the same, because tread is step in british english.

The most common way to say it is "I stepped on shit" XDD if you live in the UK or any other country other than the US then you would use another term. And I've never heard that if you stepping on shit gives you good luck.  dead xdddd
